The Australian cricket team defeated India in the second T20 in Guwahati, but their team bus was attacked as they left the stadium.

However, in a pleasing development, several cricket fana stood outside the Australian team’s hotel with posters apologising for the untoward incident.

The gesture received appreciation from Aussie all-rounder Moises Henriques, who was one of the stars of the show for the visitors at Guwahati. In a social media post, he wrote, "Whilst the bus home last night wasn’t ideal, the support from fans & children across Assam today in response was kind. Cheers 2 good vibes."

The playeea and staff were travelling from Busapara Stadium back to their team hotel when a stone was hurled on the right-hand side of the bus, cricket.com.au had said.

"In a remarkable piece of good fortune, no one was sitting on the seat next to the window when it was broken. While no one was injured, the Australian players were understandably shaken up by the incident, “ the CA report said.
