After slamming a record fourth T20 century, India captain Rohit Sharma gave credit to Shikhar Dhawan for sticking out with him and featuring in a century stand for the opening wicket. Riding on the big opening stand, India went on to win the match my 71 runs.

"Shikhar's natural instinct is to attack the bowlers, we took some time to get going as we wanted to see how the pitch goes. I felt the partnership at the top was extremely important and Rahul provided the perfect finishing touch," Rohit said while speaking at the post-match presentation.

Asked about his own achievement, the hitman said he was happy to come good. "Whenever you get an opportunity, you try and do well. Everyone will go home smiling. That's what we play for. Glad we could win the game and win the series.

On the other hand, West Indian skipper Carlos Brathwaite admitted the defeat was hard to take, but hoped the team build on the positives.

"This is hard to digest but we need to take the positives before we play the final game. They batted well without losing a wicket in the initial overs. Our batting continues to let us down. We got a young group of guys so we need to appreciate the positives," Brathwaite stated.
